The Week

I’ve had a rather good week last week. I seem to have kept myself reasonably busy, and not been shattered by the end of the week 🙂
I was dragged along to the GUSCDC dance class on Tuesday to practice for the 50th Anniversary Ball this weekend. Gordon and Carolyne came around afterwards, and then Ellen turned up just before they were due to leave. It was good to see everyone again 🙂
On Wednesday Charlotte went shopping for 2 BMW rear coils, and we then headed out that evening to my parents ostensibly to fit the springs. Instead, we just ended up tidying up odds and ends, and promising to fit the springs on Sunday 🙂
Thursday was a Lush day. They were doing a special offers day, with wine & cheese, freebies, late opening. Gordon & Carolyne came along as well, and we all spent far too much time and money in there. Worth it though 😀
Friday and Saturday were days of relaxation, and then on Sunday I finally got the springs fitted to the BMW. Unfortunately the OBC appears to have gotten damp, and all hell breaks loose when the key is turned. I’ve sprayed all the connections with moisture displacer, and the battery is connected again to let it warm up and hopefully sort itself out over the next few days. The bonnet catch also seized up, and mashed itself into the front subframe when I shut the bonnet, so that’s another visit to the scrappy in the near future 😀
Dancing tonight! More practice for the ball so I don’t make a fool of myself when I’m up there…
