It’s been far too long, and the project has languished. On the other hand, the house project is now complete.
I’ve had some time over the past few months to work on some of the running gear. The goal is to have a pair of refurbished axles ready to roll, and then I will order in a new chassis to fit things onto.
To summarize, the front axle is ready to go.

It’s been stripped and rebuilt. Diff has been cleaned and checked for wear, new stub axles, bearings, new swivel balls, refurbished swivel housings, new pins top and bottom, new diff pan, new paint. Ready for prime time.

I think the most time consuming bit was replacing the diff pan and ensuring it was oil tight. That took a lot of preparation and welding.
When the time comes closer to putting it on the road I will replace the pads and brake discs. Calipers & hydraulics are not fitted yet, but will do all that when it’s mounted on a chassis.
It is now in storage with the AC to keep it good, whilst I move on to the rear axle challenges…
