Transport

Although transport to and from the reception will be provided, there are other ways of getting to the church and reception venues on your own.

Croftamie and Kilmaronock are only served by bus and taxi, so you will have to get one of the scheduled buses out there. The best method for getting to the relevant bus is to take the train to Milngavie or Balloch. The Croftamie bus is best taken from Milngavie, whereas Kilmaronock is best served from Balloch.

The bus timetable for the number 8 bus from Buchanan Bus Station to Croftamie, via Milngavie, can be found here.
The timetable for number 13 bus from Balloch to Balfron, via Kilmaronock, can be found here. For the number 13, after Gartocharn you can ask to get off at Kilmaronock Church. The driver should stop at the appropriate place.

For those that have indicated a preference, two buses will be provided to and from the area. The first will leave from The Smiths Hotel at 11:00 and then proceed directly to the church for 12:15. The second bus is for those coming in the evening, and that bus will leave Glasgow University Main Gates at 18:00 for arrival at The Wayfarers for 19:00.

In the evening, one bus will leave The Wayfarers at 00:00, and will return to George Square, via The Smiths hotel.
