It’s been an interesting time… On Friday I picked up the ring from Colin, who had been making it for me for the past month or so. A fair bit of research has gone into it and the possible outcomes of the question. Many thanks to Michelle, Kristian, Cecilia and Marie. Also a big thanks to my dad who has been doing a fabulous taxi duty for me, and who has done an admirable job of keeping a secret.
We left early on Saturday and took the slightly less direct route to Dundee, via Coatbridge, Airdrie, Stirling, Perth, Balbeggie, Abernyte and then Dundee. Our destination was the Dundee Hilton, where Michelle had booked us a deluxe double room with a waterfront view, and a window table for dinner. I asked the question in the hotel room, cos I was being lazy and couldn’t be bothered with floods of tears/squeals/bouncing/etc at the dinner table 🙂 The plan went well, and I had a happy happy Charlotte at the dinner table admiring sparkly thing on her hand at dinner.
After dinner, we headed off to the cinema to see Casino Royale, and what a film it was. I’m quite thoroughly impressed by this take on the Bond Franchise, and hope it continues. Of course, only Charlotte could spot the Donald Duck reference in the film, thanks to the Danish links. Extra bonus points if you can find the link 🙂
Sunday was spent wandering around Dundee, and meeting up with Bob for a lunchtime coffee. He’s looking stunning as usual, and quite enjoying his special constable work. 🙂
