Holiday!

I’ve been back almost 2 weeks now, and I still haven’t written about our holiday. It was absolutely wonderful. Christmas was lovely, spending time at my parents with Charlotte, and then Christmas dinner with all of them plus Aunt Lorna and Uncle Kenneth. After Christmas, we headed off on the 28th to Copenhagen. We missed our connecting flight to Copenhagen from London, thanks to a 1h30m delay, but we rebooked and got on the next flight out. On the way out of Copenhagen airport there were a few flakes of snow, which was nothing compared to the 2ft of snow awaiting us the next morning :-D

During our stay we visited Karina and thomas, met their new baby and got a tour of their new lovely big house. We also got a chance to meet up with Thea, Kristian and their son Alfred, Melissa, Mormor, and Kristina. For New Years Eve, we went out to Noko for a formal gala dinner, and then up to the roof terrace for a view of the fireworks across the city. Our hosts were Cecilie and Kristian, who were fantastic as always :-) . The fireworks were terrifi, putting anything
back here in Britain to shame. It was a whole hour of huge fireworks all across the city, with the main roads being the main laucnhing areas. There’s plenty of videos uploaded to the gallery :-)
Kristian was studying for his exams when we were over, so we went round to Cecilies for late breakfast a few days later, and had a lovely time there. Trying out her hammock whilst listening to Victor Borge after a big cooked breakfast couldn’t be any better :-)
The snow took about 5 days before it started melting, so there was plenty of time for long walks in the snow covered woods, and more than enough time to make a snowman :-) It’s all fragments of memory by now, so I feel as if I haven’t commited it to file properly. I can remember it all, but just ot in the right sequence. Such is the peril of leaving the blog till last.

Flat!

Well, just back from the solicitor. We’ve signed for the mortgage and the flat, so now it’s just a matter of time before we get the keys. Woohoo! :-) Lots of painting will ensue, followed by unpacking, purchasing of oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, hob and more things than I care to remember, end then settling in properly. It’s going to be a busy month or two. The Big Move is happening this weekend if all goes to plan. There will be free beer and pizza for all those helping, followed by some fireworks on Saturday evening.

I’ve just fixed some Gallery1 to Gallery2 mod_rewrite stuff, so old links to albums should now work again. This was prompted by Kristian attempting to visit photos of their wedding today, only to find that it didnøt work :-p
