X10

A handy guide that explains how to modify a US X10 module to work on European voltages. Complete with BoP calculator.

Life

It’s been a busy fortnight or so. The Land Rover is now legal and can be taken onto the roads again. We’ve also been to JD and James’ for dinner twice, both of which were very nice meals. Charlotte and I have been househunting, and we’ve put in an offer on a flat in Yoker. According to the lawyer, it’s been accepted and now we just need the paperwork. The mortgage broker is also standing by ready to put our chosen mortgage into gear. We’re _hoping_ that we can get in before Christmas…
The reasoning behind the pre-christmas entry date is that Charlotte starts her new job on the 9th of January, so we’d like to get all our stuffed moved over the Christmas period, as she starts work at 7am in Motherwell from then on. To add to matters, she has to get a car for the job as well, so we’re going to be extra busy this month :-)

Cars

News just in… yesterday. The Land Rover passed its MOT. I asked them to replace the tyres on the front as well, so it’s rolling on a set of shiny new road treads. It would appear that the chassis was in decent nick as well, even though it has the consistency of Ryvita in places.
The upside of this is that I can continue to try and focus on getting the BMW fixed and sold, and not have to worry about the Landy.

That’s the RSS feed fixed, for anyone that uses it :-)

Stuff

Well, it’s been a busy wee while. I can’t quite remember all of it :-p
lodge has been moved to the new server that I’m sharing with tam, pickle, sandy and scott. With that comes the new gallery. I still need to fix the rewrite rules in order to make all the old gallery links work.
Been to the cinema to see Serenity twice now, it’s one of my all time favourite films now :-) Saw Corpse Bride yesterday, which was also very good. The usual TimBurton excellence.
The Land Rover is due in for its MOT tomorrow, so we’ll soon find out if the chassis now has the consistency of Ryvita.
Charlotte and I have been househunting, so hopefully we’ll get somewhere over the December lull.
Anything else… I’ll be sure to add it in :-)
