Hosted a Murder Mystery Dinner on Saturday, which was well received by everyone. Can’t believe it went on for so long. Lots of good food and good friends around.
Went off to Pollok Park today with Charlotte, and had a wander around the Burrell Collection. What a lovely place. I’ve never visited that area before, and I’m glad I’ve finally gotten around to it. Just slightly miffed by the amount of people on ‘off-road’ bikes that were tearing up and down the paths and making everyone jump out the way. Oh what I would give for a pocket spike strip.
Oh, and Donnie has mashed the offside rear of the van into something large and solid

Got some more work on it done last night. I now have a completed rudder assembly. Now I need to finish the rear transom, fit the servo kit for the rudder, and put on some of the hull.

It was my birthday on Friday, and Charlotte managed to rustle up a bunch of friends to come out to the pub. I also had a former pupils dinner to go to, so we got out of there at around 2330. A little bit later than expected. Loads of people were at the pub to say hi, it was really nice of everyone

Weekend involved lying in on Saturday, visiting Charlotte in the afternoon, helping James and JD move in the evening, and heading in to work in the late evening. Sunday was spent dropping the Land Rover off at my parents with Charlotte, and then doing some more work on the boat. I’ve finally gotten the propshaft casing drilled through the hull bottom and the rear bulkhead, and now I’m lining up the rudder assembly. Have left it overnight with some more glue around the joints to strengthen them a bit more. I may put in some struts to give it even more strength, depending on how it all builds up.
